Tencel, what is it?

 

Tencel is a 100% natural fabric. The fibers originate from the renewable raw material wood, created by photosynthesis. Tencel is extremely soft and comfortable to wear.

How its made:

Tencel is made from wood pulp. The wood pulp is dissolved in a reused solvent which is then pushed through an extruder to form the fibres. This fibre is then made into fabric.

Sustainability:

The chemical used in this process of making the fabric is being reused.

Tencel is 100% Biodegradable

Characteristics:

  • Doesn’t wrinkle
  • Holds colour well
  • Moister absorbent
  • Highly breathable
  • Lightweight
  • Soft and comfortable to wear
  • Quickly to dry
